TMT Bars

Our technologically advanced TMT bars are made to Fe 550 grade and contains low Sulphur and Phosphorus. President TMT rebars provide better resistance to earthquakes, corrosion, fire and temperatures up to 6000 Celsius.

The clean and homogeneous build of President TMT rebars offers reduced fatigue failure and superior weldability. Its unique Star-X rib design provides superior bonding with concrete and high tensile strength to withstand bending. This also makes slimmer pillar possible, providing larger carpet area. President TMT 550 is therefore the preferred choice for both small and large project consultants, architects, structural engineers and builders.
Unique Star-X Ribbed Technology – the first in the industry.

STSCL has pioneered the Star-X rib design identified on President TMT by the star mark throughout the rebar. The Star-X rib provides exceptional concrete bonding across both horizontal and vertical constructions.

President TMT is manufactured in a continuous casting High Speed Steel (HSS) Rolling mill. The HSS rolls are composed of High Carbon HSS outer shell with a nodular iron core and provides excellent hardness, wear resistance and high-temperature properties.

Earthquake
resistance

President TMT rebars have a unique composition that makes them highly resistant to earthquakes. With a hard, external Martensite surface and a softer Ferrite-pearlite core, President TMT is highly ductile and capable of absorbing seismic shocks.

Corrosion
resistance

The incorporation of Nickel, Chromium and Copper, President TMT fights corrosion. The result is an Fe 550 TMT rebar that is long lasting, durable and dependable for weight-carrying structures.

Fire
retardation

President TMT rebars don’t lose their structural strength even in the face of intense heat up to 600 Celsius. This is possible through the particular quenching, cooling and shearing processes that the TMT bars are subjected to, during the manufacturing process.
