STSCL’s advanced process of metallization (expulsion of Oxygen) produces high-quality sponge iron. This sponge iron is consumed both internally and externally for manufacture of high-quality billets and TMT bars.

Other applications include - substitution for steel scrap, as a coolant in LD Converters in Integrated Steel Plants, and as an excellent feedstock for electric arc / induction furnaces for the fabrication of higher-grade steel.

Benefits of STSCL sponge iron include low Sulphur levels, higher core iron content (as compared to pig iron), uniform chemical composition and zero impurities.
